As part of consistent measures to develop small business and private entrepreneurship in the Navoi region, since 2014 special attention has been paid to building modern production infrastructure in areas with high industrial potential. In particular, a number of projects to establish technoparks have been implemented on the basis of enterprises operating in the city of Navoi, Zarafshan and the Karmana district. Within these technoparks, production has been launched in mining, chemistry, construction materials, metalworking, energy and the food industry, as well as the manufacture of high value-added finished products that meet the requirements of domestic and foreign markets. This serves not only to create new jobs but also to increase export potential and the competitiveness of local products.
